A bandeau is an item of clothing which looks like a cami, and usually goes under tank tops that are loose or flow, and are very hard to find in your size. Mostly because they all fit differently. Personally, I have never found a bandeau that has fit me well and perfectly, which is why I created an easy DIY to to help me.
What will we need?
-Any type of fabric
(Fabric Land for 75 cents, Polyester)
Glue gun and glue sticks
(Dollarama, 1 dollar)
A Pin Bracelet and 2 safety pins
(Dollarama 2 dollars)
Needle and a Thread
(Fabric Land; have many needles if they break)
A button or a clip
(Dollarama)
A zipper if you know how to sew it on
(Walmart, $14.00)
Any Iron on accessories
(Iron on sequins from Dollarama)
Lay out your fabric, and measure the width
or your chest. Sew the edges
in so there are no frays.
Pinch the bandeau in the middle,
and sew it in place, or hot glue gun it.
Put another fabric from an old
and thick t-shirt behind the bandeau
for extra support and to avoid
any see-through fabrics!
Using a sharpie, trace the button size onto the bandeau
and cut it out. Attach the zipper, button, or clip on the opposite side
by sewing it on.
Your DIY bandeau is complete! It is a MUST HAVE in your closet! You can style it into
a bikini top, or act as a cami if you run out!
I hope you enjoyed this DIY, and I hope it works out for you!
As always, love yourself, make yourself, do it yourself!
